Manufacturing Supervisor


Reporting to our Site Manufacturing Manager, the Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the successful supervision of an established and expanding team and business unit within our customer site. The Manufacturing Supervisor will ideally have Supervisory experience in the Semiconductor industry, but not essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • A track record in a Supervisory role within a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • People management - Hands on support to a team of Technicians, 100% dedicated to training, coaching, supporting the team.
  • Be a Core Vlaues Champion
  • Headcount planning and vacation & absence management to ensure short, medium and long term production targets are delivered.
  • Clear communications with colleagues and clients are an essential part of the daily routine of a very busy, hands on, multi-tasking environment.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the customer and Westerwood Global Management & staff and co-ordinate and participate in site meetings between the business teams and customer.
  • Ability to understand customer’s quality requirement process and be responsible for customer satisfaction whilst working in a competitive team and adhering to customer protocols.
  • Manage & report on internal and external KPI’s and headcount, formulate corrective actions plans and drive the success of business area.
  • Supporting the employee recruitment process when required.
  • Flexibility in working hours and an ability to undertake any projects as requested.


Essential Requirements

  • Attention to detail is essential regarding both technical and administration tasks.
  • Responsibility for the safe working environment of yourself and your subordinates.
  • An ability to be successful in a customer facing role, react to changes in production priorities and manage team goals accordingly.
  • Excellent personal skills that will create, develop and foster relationships at customer and with teams.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with multiple changing priorities.
  • Level 6 Management qualification desired but not essential
