Job Title: Installation Technician

Location: Maynooth, Co. Kildare (Travel involved)

Contract: Permanment

Permanent Salary: DOE

Work Schedule: RWW but extended hours, occasional weekends and travel will be required.

Environment: Factory / manufacturing environment. Electrical, mechanical, pressure, chemical, gas.

Reporting to: Team Lead

Job Summary:

Westerwood Global have a unique opportunity for a suitable candidate to join our Installation Technician Team, working on client sites globally.

The Installation Technician will be required to represent Westerwood Global and our customer in a varied mix of client based environments working with multi skilled groups and individuals to successfully install, de-install and relocate semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Experience in a cleanroom environment as well as high volume manufacturing knowledge would be a distinct advantage.

This role requires travel (1-4 weeks duration) at regular intervals.

Requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Comply with all environmental and safety requirements of WG and the Client.
  • Installation, de-installation, upgrade and relocation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Work as part of a team within tight timeline and procedural constraints delivering a quality driven client service.
  • Strict adherence to client operating procedures and maintenance specifications.
  • Use standard software applications (MS office) and other process specific programs as needed.
  • Complete all required documentation associated with the process.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and comply with all cleanroom protocols.

Essential Requirements:

  • Cleanroom experience a distinct advantage.
  • An ability to wear all the cleanroom required protective clothing and task specific PPE is essential.
  • Attention to detail is a critical part of this role. Ability to understand client’s quality requirement process and be responsible for customer satisfaction whilst working in a fast-paced environment in a competitive team and adhering to customer protocols.
  • An ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong manual dexterity skills and the ability to stand, stoop, reach and walk.
  • Ability to use various hand tools, measurement tools etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise activities.
  • Strong team player with ability to work well within a diverse team
  • Availability to travel internationally as a representative of Westerwood Global
  • Be able to secure working access to client facilities in Europe, USA, Asia and The Middle East

  • Flexible, dependable, professional
  • Possess a clean passport and driving license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to spend extended periods ( 1 – 4 weeks ) on business travel as required 65-70%
