Description

Westerwood Global has a unique opportunity for a suitable candidate to join an expanding team as a Human Resources Specialist. Based in our Chandler, Arizona office, the successful candidate will drive core deliverables of the HR Framework including; Talent Development, State and Federal Law Compliance, Employee Relations, HR System Management, Compensation and Benefits.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and oversee new employee onboarding, including leading new hire orientation and I-9 management
  • Act as primary point of contact for employee conflicts, investigations, performance management, personnel related issues
  • Advise and counsel employees and managers on employee relation issues and HR policies/procedures
  • Serve as a resource on federal employment laws and HR regulations; Interpret and maintain knowledge of state and local laws and regulations
  • Assist in benefit administration
  • Oversee the off-boarding process including: preparation of termination paperwork, exit interviews, COBRA administration, audit and close employee file, and make necessary changes in company systems
  • Manage data integrity of employee information in our HRIS system and take the lead in moving the department toward automation

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field a plus
  • 1+ years Human Resources experience
  • Intermediate skills in Excel with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
