The person for the job

  • Flexibility to spend extended periods (1 – 4 weeks) on business travel as required
  • Good working knowledge of MS package
  • A strong team player with ability to work well within a diverse team
  • Have excellent organisational, time keeping, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to different tasks and to prioritise activities

Purpose of the role

As a Cabling Technician, you will be supporting the Customer in key areas throughout the manufacturing process. Your goal will be to adhere to facility standard operating procedures with a focus on safety and quality. Your success will contribute to the facilities overall throughput while simultaneously developing your own skills in a coveted and highly technical industry.

Role requirements

  • Possess a clean passport and driving license
  • A technical qualification (NFQ Level 6 or higher)
  • Ability to work a regular working week (Monday – Friday) 39hours
  • Work in a controlled cleanroom environment, which will involve the wearing of a gown and relevant personal protective equipment
  • Availability to travel internationally as a representative of Westerwood Global
  • Be able to secure working access to client facilities in Europe, USA, Asia, and The Middle East

What you will be doing

  • Installation, de-installation, upgrade, and relocation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Work as part of a team within a tight timeline and procedural constraints delivering a quality driven client service
  • Maintaining cleanroom and company protocols
  • Ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained
  • Performing quality checks in line with process specifications
  • Using MS Office and in-house computer system as required
